Monday 25th September - Sintra - Lisboa - SintraHot and sunnyBig day in Lisboa today. Took the train from Sintra to the Zoologico station and jumped on the Metro to Restauradores.Walked through the Baixa district, stopping at the big Praca Pedro IV square.Stopped for a pleasant coffee and cinnamon custard tarts at the venerable and famous art deco style Cafe Nicola.Walked the streets of the main town and took the Elevador de Santa Justa to the cafe at the top for stunning views of the city and more coffee.Walked down to the Praca do Comercio to get some intranet time at the Information office.Walked up the steep Alfama area to the Castelo S%u00e3o Jorge. More glorious views across the city and river\\bay. Wandered through the old un-touristy Alfama alleyways back down to the waterfront.Decided to take the famous old tram #28 around the city streets and covered Baixa, Alfama (again), Bairro Alto Estrela, and richer Lapa areas.Had dinner outside in Rua Augusta - Lisbon%u2019s main pedestrian street. Indian this time. Caught the Metro and train back to Sintra very tired and late.
